BERLIN, Feb 2 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed the need for Germany to speed up the process of allowing new research facilities as well as new medicines and the use of data during a visit to German pharmaceutical company BioNTech's facility in Marburg.

"The central thing that we have to make possible is faster approvals processes. This applies to factories ... but just as much for new medicines, research plans and also for the use of data when it is for research," said Scholz on Thursday, adding that his government planned concrete legislative proposals to this effect in a very short space of time.
