GKN Sinter Metals Receives Three GM Supplier Quality Excellence Awards
AUBURN HILLS, MI--(Marketwire - Jan 28, 2013) - GKN Sinter Metals' focus on quality has been recognized with three Supplier Quality Excellence awards from General Motors (GM) Powertrain. This achievement means GKN Sinter Metals is within the top 2% of all GM Powertrain suppliers in North America.
The awards, received at the 'GM Supplier Quality Excellence' awards ceremony at GM Powertrain's headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan, were given to GKN Sinter Metals Emporium Automotive (PA), Manitowoc, WI, and Conover, NC locations.
GKN Sinter Metals supplies a range of powertrain products from these three locations to General Motors. Emporium Automotive provides GM with clutch plates and connecting rods; Manitowoc delivers main bearing caps; and Conover builds aluminum camshaft caps for a number of engine programs at GM.
