Global Net Lease (GNL) Q3 FFO Meet Estimates

Global Net Lease (GNL) came out with quarterly funds from operations (FFO) of $0.44 per share, in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate. This compares to FFO of $0.46 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

A quarter ago, it was expected that this real estate investment trust would post FFO of $0.46 per share when it actually produced FFO of $0.44, delivering a surprise of -4.35%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has not been able to surpass consensus FFO estimates.

Global Net Lease, which belongs to the Zacks REIT and Equity Trust - Other industry, posted revenues of $95.76 million for the quarter ended September 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.20%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $82.71 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future FFO expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.

Global Net Lease shares have lost about 5.1% since the beginning of the year versus the S&P 500's gain of 24.1%.
