GMO wheat said 'suspicious'

Seed maker Monsanto (MON) said genetically modified wheat found growing on an Oregon farm last month is suspicious. Chief Technology Officer Robb Fraley told reporters on a conference call that evidence from its investigation indicates someone planted the GMO wheat after the firm destroyed a test plot there years ago. Monsanto and Washington State Univ. are investigating the wheat, which was modified to resist the firm's Roundup weed killer, separately from a USDA probe. Shares fell 0.3%.
