TORONTO (AP) _ Golden Star Resources Ltd. (GSS) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $829,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had net income of 1 cent. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 3 cents per share.
The gold mining company posted revenue of $67.4 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $2.32. A year ago, they were trading at $4.06.
