Google details legal policies

The Web search giant offered details on how it treats gov't requests for information on users, saying in part that for criminal investigations it requires a warrant for data about what a user has searched for on Google.com. Google (GOOG) contacts the user to tell them a gov't agency, court or police department has requested information about them. Other times, warrants come with gag orders compelling the search giant to keep quiet. Google added new Legal Process language to its annual Transparency Report, which anyone can read. Shares fell 0.4% to 750.73.
