Google invests in Auction.com

The search giant's growth equity fund, Google (GOOG) Capital, announced it invested $50 mil in Auction.com, an online real estate marketplace. The website was launched in '08 and has sold nearly $20 bil in commercial and residential real estate assets since '10. Prior investors before Google include Starwood Capital Group, Starwood Property Trust, Stone Point Capital and funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group. Google launched Google Capital last year. Shares rose 0.3% to 1,218.26.
