ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) _ Graham Holdings Co. (GHC) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $81.7 million.
The Arlington, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $15.26 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $7.18 per share.
The education and media company posted revenue of $692.2 million in the period.
Graham Holdings shares have climbed 16% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed 18%.
