Grains, livestock prices mixed on CBOT
Wheat, corn futures fall, soybeans rise on CBOT; beef prices up while pork drops
CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices were mixed Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for March delivery fell 1 cent to $8.59 per bushel; March corn fell 4.25 cents to $7.535 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.97 per bushel; and January soybeans rose 3.75 cents to $14.83 per bushel.
Beef and pork futures also were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
February live cattle rose 0.03 cent to $1.3055 per pound and January feeder cattle rose 0.6 cent to $1.47 a pound, while February lean hogs fell 1 cent to 84.65 cents a pound.
