Grammys 2020: Billy Porter demands attention in mechanically controlled diamanté hat
The inimitable Billie Porter proved once again that he is the ultimate fashion chameleon.
The multi-faceted performer turned heads in an embellished peacock blue one-piece with a matching cropped jacket.
The futuristic look was teamed with a sparkling clutch bag, a rhinestone collar and disco-ready platform boots. Porter even rocked bold graphic eye makeup in the same hue as his outfit.
Taking an already 'extra' red carpet moment to the next level, the diamanté fringe curtain on Porter's Baja East hat was mechanically opened by his longtime stylist Sam Ratelle.

Ratelle joked to E! correspondent Zanna Rassi that the mechanical opening came about as Porter joked that he refused to cover his face as he walked the red carpet.
When he gave Ratelle the signal to press the remote, the dangling strings of diamonds swung back to reveal Porter's face in hilarious 'peek-a-boo' fashion.
