On a per-share basis, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based company said it had profit of 17 cents. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, were 2 cents per share.
The holding company that invests in businesses and assets posted revenue of $14.1 million in the period.
The company's shares closed at $4.20. A year ago, they were trading at $3.85.
