Green Mountain scores another K-Cup partnership

Green Mountain will add The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand to K-Cup lineup

WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) -- International Coffee & Tea LLC will soon make its Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf branded products available for use in Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc.'s brewing systems.

Green Mountain, based in Waterbury, Vt., makes the Keurig system, which brews beverages one at a time. It has partnered with a number of other companies to make their branded drinks available for use in the K-Cup packs used in its systems to increase its appeal to consumers.

The companies said Wednesday that some of these packs will be available by the spring of 2014 in the U.S.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, based in California, is the oldest and largest privately-held specialty coffee and tea retailer in the United States.

Shares of Green Mountain increased $1.29 to $74.32 in afternoon trading. Its shares have traded in a 52-week range of $17.11 to $81.70.
