OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc. (GPRE) on Wednesday reported a loss of $42.8 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Omaha, Nebraska-based company said it had a loss of $1.06.
The ethanol production, marketing and commodities company posted revenue of $642.3 million in the period.
Green Plains shares have risen 17% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 20% in the last 12 months.
