OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc. (GPRE) on Monday reported a loss of $24.1 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Omaha, Nebraska-based company said it had a loss of 60 cents.
The ethanol production, marketing and commodities company posted revenue of $1.05 billion in the period.
Green Plains shares have increased 6.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 30 percent in the last 12 months.
