OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc. (GPRE) on Monday reported a loss of $45.3 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Omaha, Nebraska-based company said it had a loss of $1.13.
The ethanol production, marketing and commodities company posted revenue of $895.9 million in the period.
Green Plains shares have dropped 34% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $8.67, a fall of 50% in the last 12 months.
