HOUSTON (AP) _ Gulf Island Fabrication Inc. (GIFI) on Monday reported a second-quarter loss of $5.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 34 cents per share.
The builder of structures for the offshore petroleum industry posted revenue of $80.5 million in the period.
Gulf Island Fabrication shares have decreased roughly 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $6.80, a decline of 24% in the last 12 months.
