New GURUF Financial Strength Template Released

- By James Li

We are glad to announce a new GURUF FZM Score template that allows you to do deep analysis on a company's three financial strength scores: the Piotroski F-score , the Altman Z-score and the Beneish M-score .

The FZM Scores give three different perspectives on the financial strength of the company: the F-score determines overall business strength, the Z-score predicts the company's level of financial distress and the M-score identifies possible manipulators.

Brief description of the tabs

You can enter a ticker symbol in cell B1 in the "Key Stats Data" tab, which gives you fundamental information about the company. The template then calculates the quarterly values for each of the financial strength scores in three separate tabs: F Score Data, Z Score Data and M Score Data. Each of these tabs details the components for the financial strength scores.

This template also gives you the chart output for each of the financial strength scores. For example, Figure 1 shows the historical trend of F-scores for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT). Figures 2 and 3 show the historical trend of Z-scores for Apple Inc. (AAPL) and the historical trend of M-scores for Nike Inc. (NKE) respectively.
