Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for two years. And while the singers might have seemed like an odd pairing at first, they are now officially #relationshipgoals. In a forthcoming interview with Marie Claire, Stefani opened up about spending time on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch.

“It’s very tribal,” Stefani told Marie Claire. “Blake has a sister, she comes with her kids. We cook and get muddy and dirty. There are ATVs. Being a mother of three boys, it’s kind of the perfect place.”

Stefani also described her two serious heartbreaks before she met Shelton, including her divorce from singer Gavin Rossdale. She told Marie Claire that she had learned her heartbreak was “supposed to happen.”

“I met at least 50 to 100 people before each show on my tour and got to hear that my truth and my story translated, and I feel very lucky and honored knowing that,” she said.

Thankfully, Stefani’s story is not just defined by heartbreak. She called Shelton her best friend, and the “tribal” life the two have built together seems to suit her. Her Instagram includes tons of photos of the two diving into outdoorsy activities like horseback riding, hanging with armadillos, and wearing camo.

For his part, Shelton seems just as in love with Stefani. In a 2016 interview with Billboard, he talked about how Stefani helped him through his divorce from country singer Miranda Lambert.

“Gwen saved my life,” he said. “Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician?”

We hope the pair continue to thrive and occasionally get muddy together! You can read the full interview with Stefani in the cover story of the 2017 Holiday issue of Marie Claire, which hits shelves on November 28th.
