Gwendoline Christie isn't a doctor - at least not of psychiatric medicine - but she reckons the Game of Thrones finale is going to break your brain.

"You're going to need therapy," Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth, told E! News. "I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help."

It's not just going to be Thrones watchers taking up chaise longue either: Christie says the wrench of leaving Westeros permanently will hit her fellow cast members hard too.

"I think it's going to make me incredibly emotional," she said. "We're all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it's been a truly incredible thing to be a part of."

Christie also said that Janelle Monae, her co-star in the Steve Carell vehicle Welcome To Marwen, is apparently a massive Thrones fan and kept trying to pry secrets about the season eight finale out of her, but apparently to no avail. In any case, she's remarkably sanguine about being asked.

"People are always incredibly respectful," Christie said. "They know it's your job to protect the secrets of the series, so nobody ever really tries to catch you out."
