MIAMI (AP) _ The Hackett Group Inc. (HCKT) on Tuesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $136,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Miami-based company said it had a loss of less than 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 26 cents per share.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 26 cents per share.
The consulting company posted revenue of $66.5 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $67.4 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $23.9 million, or 74 cents per share. Revenue was nearly unchanged at $285.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Hackett Group expects its per-share earnings to range from 21 cents to 23 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $61.5 million to $63 million for the fiscal first quarter.
Hackett Group shares have climbed 21 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $19.45, a climb of 19 percent in the last 12 months.
