Hampden County Registry of Deeds Taps Snowbound Software to Accelerate Document Access by 50 Percent

Document management and enhanced productivity are key areas of importance for the Hampden County Registry of Deeds. Last year alone, the Registry recorded 98,467 documents -- an 18 percent increase from 2011 -- and also grew in revenue, collecting nearly $13 million during the 2012 calendar year, a 14 percent increase over 2011.

From there, users can manipulate the respective documents for their viewing, printing and exporting needs; for example, inverting and zooming for better clarity, searching by page number, printing, and exporting the documents as either PDF or TIFF files. Drawing on VirtualViewer's mobile document viewing capabilities, numerous users -- including lawyers, police officers, realtors, title examiners, colleges, historians, and residential owners -- are able to access critical information on the go.

In addition to daily recordings, Register Ashe has initiated a project to digitize all of the historic records that were obtained when the County offices closed. These documents include the original documentation of railroad plans, county roads, county Highways, and dams.
