Harris gets $100M contract from Australian Defense Dept. for high-frequency radios

NEW YORK (AP) -- Communications and information technology company Harris Corp. said Thursday that it received a $100 million order from the Australian Department of Defence.

Harris will provide hand-held and high-frequency radios.

The Melbourne, Fla., company reported $5.11 billion in revenue in its latest fiscal year. Its shares rose 74 cents, or 1.1 percent, to $69.71 in midday trading.
