SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Health Catalyst Inc. (HCAT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $17.5 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Salt Lake City-based company said it had a loss of 47 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 16 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 25 cents per share.
The provider of data analytics for the health care industry posted revenue of $45.1 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $43 million.
For the current quarter ending in July, Health Catalyst said it expects revenue in the range of $40.8 million to $43.8 million.
Health Catalyst shares have decreased 13% since the beginning of the year.
