DRAPER, Utah (AP) _ HealthEquity Inc. (HQY) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $19.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Draper, Utah-based company said it had profit of 30 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 45 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 35 cents per share.
The provider of services for managing health care accounts posted revenue of $86.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $85.4 million.
HealthEquity expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.10 to $1.16 per share, with revenue in the range of $341 million to $347 million.
HealthEquity shares have dropped roughly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $58.11, a drop of 38% in the last 12 months.
