DRAPER, Utah (AP) _ HealthEquity Inc. (HQY) on Monday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $13.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Draper, Utah-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, were 27 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.
The provider of services for managing health care accounts posted revenue of $75.8 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $74.1 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $73.9 million, or $1.17 per share. Revenue was reported as $287.2 million.
HealthEquity expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.23 to $1.29 per share, with revenue in the range of $333 million to $339 million.
HealthEquity shares have increased 39 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $82.88, a rise of 40 percent in the last 12 months.
