It was followed by Citadel Investment Group with a $80.1 million position. Other investors bullish on the company included AQR Capital Management, GLG Partners, and Gotham Asset Management. In terms of the portfolio weights assigned to each position Cognios Capital allocated the biggest weight to The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY), around 0.97% of its portfolio. Renaissance Technologies is also relatively very bullish on the stock, dishing out 0.63 percent of its 13F equity portfolio to HSY.

Now, key hedge funds were leading the bulls' herd. ExodusPoint Capital, managed by Michael Gelband, initiated the most valuable position in The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY). As you can see these stocks had an average of 27.5 hedge funds with bullish positions and the average amount invested in these stocks was $1375 million. That figure was $1104 million in HSY's case. Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK) is the most popular stock in this table. On the other hand China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited (NYSE:CHU) is the least popular one with only 8 bullish hedge fund positions. The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY) is not the most popular stock in this group but hedge fund interest is still above average. This is a slightly positive signal but we'd rather spend our time researching stocks that hedge funds are piling on. Our calculations showed that top 20 most popular stocks among hedge funds returned 37.4% in 2019 through the end of November and outperformed the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) by 9.9 percentage points.
