CHICAGO (AP) _ Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (HSII) on Monday reported second-quarter earnings of $14.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had net income of 73 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.
The executive search firm posted revenue of $178.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $173.1 million, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $177.9 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Heidrick & Struggles said it expects revenue in the range of $175 million to $185 million.
Heidrick & Struggles shares have fallen slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $30.48, a decrease of 12% in the last 12 months.
