Jack (Jimmy McKenna) has just agreed to marry Breda, but he's in serious danger of becoming her next victim when she finds out more about the skeletons that he has in his closet.
As the happy couple celebrate their engagement with a party at The Dog, Breda (Moya Brady) is alarmed to hear Jack's son Darren talking about his past.
Darren is concerned that Jack is rushing into marriage with Breda, especially since she doesn't know about his criminal history.
This all dates back to a big storyline that aired in 2016 and 2017, exploring how Jack was once responsible for the death of a child.
In late 2016, Hollyoaks hinted that Jack was hiding a dark secret and all became clear in a special episode which aired over the festive season that year.
Flashbacks to 1968 in Glasgow showed Jack when he was just 15 and being bossed around by his bullying older brother Billy.
When Billy took a disliking to a local boy called Callum for petty reasons, he beat him up and encouraged Jack to join in.
Jack reluctantly agreed and kicked Callum, but this turned out to be the fatal blow that tragically caused Callum's death.
Jack didn't face punishment for his crime at the time, as he told the police that Billy was entirely to blame. This condemned Billy to a long spell behind bars which set him on a dark path, ending up in and out of prison for the rest of his life.
After Billy died in 2016, his daughter Eva Falco decided that she wanted revenge against the Osborne family in a memorable storyline.
Jack confessed everything to the police and later went to court, but didn't have to face a prison sentence for his historic crime.
With Breda now planning justice of her own, could Jack still be forced to pay?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
