Hollywood Sexual Harassment Figures Top 2017 Google Searches; Donald Trump Not In Top 10
Google released its search data for 2017 and, to no surprise, sexual harassment figures dominated the lists. However, it was a surprise that, of all people, Donald Trump did not crack the top 10 list of most searched people.
From entertainment to fashion designers to cocktails, Google released their search data for 2017 categorized by subject. For top 10 People searched, four were accused of sexual harassment and abuse, a hot-button issue that has plagued the year. Matt Lauer took the number one spot with Harvey Weinstein at three and Kevin Spacey and Bill O’Reilly taking the fifth and sixth spot respectively. Even though Trump did not make the top 10 list, his wife Melania was ranked number seven.
Sexual harassment figures also popped up in the top 10 searched actors with Spacey coming in at number two and Louis C.K. at number four. But the list wasn’t filled with disgraced actors. Women held their own with Suits actress and soon-to-be royal figure Meghan Markle topping the list. Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot came in at number three and Meryl Streep at five. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown didn’t come in at 11, which would have been fitting, but at seven while actress Maia Campbell was ranked number nine.
On the movie side of things, it was all about scary clowns as New Line’s blockbuster horror IT came in at number one in the category of movies with a grip of superhero pics making the top 10 including Wonder Woman, Justice League, Logan, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Netflix’s teen drama 13 Reasons Why topped the TV list with Game of Thrones taking a seat at the number two spot followed by NBC’s tearjerking drama This Is Us at number three.
