After joining EMI in 1971, Perry held several senior positions running record labels in a variety of roles around the world for EMI Music. He has received various awards for serving the world's music industry including a CBE in the Queen's Honour List and the IFPI Medal for services for the international recording industry.

Jacob is a renowned Broadway sound designer who has amassed such credits throughout his distinguished 40-year career as Hair, Evita, Jesus Chris Superstar, Pippin, A Chorus Line, and The Rocky Horror Show. Recognized as a pioneering figure in live stage show sound, Jacob is regarded as the father of modern sound design.Currently serving as the resident sound consultant for the David H. Koch Theatre and New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center, Jacob has been twice honored by the United States Institute for Theatre Technology for outstanding achievement.
