Berkowitz Lichtstein, Launched by Hannoch Alums, Marks 20 Years

In February, 29 attorneys and staff from Berkowitz, Lichtstein, Kuritsky, Giasullo & Gross in Roseland celebrated the firm’s 20th anniversary with a firmwide luncheon. The firm’s founding members were formerly associated with Hannoch Weisman, which dissolved in 1999. Berkowitz Lichtstein spent its first 13 years in West Orange before relocating to its current office space in Roseland, which it is currently in the process of expanding, according to a release.
Brach Eichler’s Ritter Honored by Eva’s Village

Ritter, a partner and chair of the tax practice at Brach Eichler in Roseland, was honored at the Eva’s Village Lawyers, Accountants, and Financial Professionals (LAF) dinner on Feb. 21 at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park. Ritter was one of three honorees at the second annual event recognized for their service to the organization. Ritter is a member of the LAF 2019 committee and has been a member of Eva’s board since 1999. Eva's Village is a faith-based, nonprofit, comprehensive social services organization which provides a recovery-oriented community of supportive services which include food, shelter, addiction and mental health treatment, childcare, job training, medical and dental care, and housing. “I am honored to be recognized by Eva’s Village, which has served so many, and to be part of a community of professionals that have given so much to the organization,” Ritter said in a statement by the firm. At Brach Eichler, Ritter advises on income and estate planning for individuals, and succession planning and sophisticated estate planning services for a range of clients. He earned a J.D., with honors, from Rutgers Law School, an LL.M. in taxation from New York University, and a B.S. from Rutgers University.

Schenck, Price, Smith & King attorneys and staff enjoyed an evening of painting, music and food in celebration of Black History Month at the firm’s Florham Park offices on Feb. 27. The event followed a trivia contest, whose winners designated two charities, the Urban League of Morris County and the Innocence Project, to which the firm made a donation, according to a release.
