HOUSTON (AP) _ Houston Wire & Cable Co. (HWCC) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $656,000, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents per share.
The specialty wire and cable distributor posted revenue of $82.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2.6 million, or 15 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $338.3 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $2.39. A year ago, they were trading at $5.67.
