OAK BROOK, Ill. (AP) _ Hub Group Inc. (HUBG) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $29.2 million.
The Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said it had net income of 87 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 75 cents per share.
The transportation management company posted revenue of $921.2 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $979 million.
Hub Group expects full-year earnings to be $3.30 to $3.40 per share.
Hub Group shares have increased 12% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $41.45, a decline of 9.5% in the last 12 months.
