Old Town, ME --News Direct-- J.M. Huber Corporation

Huber Resources Corp. (“HRC”) announced today the acquisition of certain assets of Compass Land Consultants, Inc. (“CLC”), which will grow and expand HRC’s as well as their Sewall Forestry and Natural Resources Consulting (“SFNR”) business globally in key service areas including timberland management, timberland appraisals, forest inventory management, and forest modeling.

J.M. Huber Corporation (“JMHC”), the parent company of HRC, has a long history of timberland management dating back to the 1940s – an area of business that has played a critical role in the success of JMHC through the years. Today, HRC continues JMHC’s legacy of forest management through the stewardship of more than one million acres of land for clients throughout the US.

HRC’s full suite of forest management services include forest operations, management planning, sustainable harvest modeling, road building and maintenance, full service administrative and accounting services and timber harvesting and marketing. SFNR’s full suite of forestry and natural resource consulting services includes forestland appraisals, forest growth and harvest modeling services to aid clients with critical business decisions for current or future operations, land purchase due diligence and inventory analysis. Additionally, SFNR provides a variety of consulting services to its forestry clients including litigation support and market pricing and cost analysis.

CLC offers a heritage of value and stability, as well as a diverse suite of services important to investors, agencies, and landowners. Their team of licensed experts offer gold-standard services with one thing in common – land. Whether it is comprehensive forestland management, diverse property appraisals, litigation expertise, or a complete catalog of inventory and acquisition due-diligence services, the Compass team is committed to excellence.

The combined power of HRC/SFNR and CLC cements Huber’s competitive position in forestry management worldwide offering high-powered competencies to global private, public and institutional clients. The two businesses have a long history of cooperative business in forestry that will be leveraged to serve a range of timberland property owners totaling over 1.5 million acres in the US.

“We are excited to have found the right home for the CLC business in Huber. Through the combined strengths of our two organizations and the depth of knowledge and experience of our teams, we are confident that we will provide even greater value to our clients in the future,” said Jeff Olson, Partner at Compass Land Consultants, Inc.

“This expansion of our timberland management services reflects Huber’s commitment to investing in initiatives that further health, safety and environmental stewardship, which are core values of our organization,” said Brian Carlson, President of Huber Resources Corp. “We are pleased to welcome the Compass Land Consultants team to Huber and look forward to leveraging the combined expertise of our professionals to serve clients worldwide.”
