MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (AP) _ Hydrogenics Corp. (HYGS) on Tuesday reported a loss of $2.6 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Mississauga, Ontario-based company said it had a loss of 15 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 13 cents per share.
The hydrogen fuel cell maker posted revenue of $8.1 million in the period.
Hydrogenics shares have risen 68% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased almost 3% in the last 12 months.
