MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (AP) _ Hydrogenics Corp. (HYGS) on Thursday reported a loss of $1.1 million in its fourth quarter.
The Mississauga, Ontario-based company said it had a loss of 7 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 4 cents per share.
The hydrogen fuel cell maker posted revenue of $19.5 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $16.4 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $11.1 million, or 80 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $48.1 million.
Hydrogenics shares have dropped 21 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 43 percent in the last 12 months.
