IDC cuts outlook for semiconductor growth for 2012, 2013, WSJ reports

International Data Corp has trimmed its outlook for semiconductor growth for both 2012 and 2013, due in part to broad economic uncertainty and soft PC demand, reports the Wall Street Journal. IDC now sees semiconductor revenue in 2012 at $304B, up less than 1%, and sees 2013 semiconductor revenue up 4.9% to $319B. The firm sees revenue reaching $368B in 2016.
