LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) _ IDEX Corp. (IEX) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $96.9 million.
On a per-share basis, the Lake Forest, Illinois-based company said it had profit of $1.26. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs, were $1.33 per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.35 per share.
The maker of the Jaws of Life device and other engineered products posted revenue of $606 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $614.5 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $425.5 million, or $5.56 per share. Revenue was reported as $2.49 billion.
Idex expects full-year earnings to be $5.55 to $5.85 per share.
Idex shares have increased slightly since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $172.08, a rise of 24% in the last 12 months.
