Illinois Corn Growers Association elections new president

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) -- The Illinois Corn Growers Association has new leadership.

The group recently elected Esmond farmer Paul Taylor as the new president. He's served on the group's board for six years, most recently as vice president.

The association coordinates and conducts market development and public relations programs to help corn producers. The board has 15 directors for districts representing different regions of the state and other at-large directors.

The board held a meeting earlier this month in Bloomington where they also elected other members of the state board.
