CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Imperial Oil Ltd. (IMO) on Friday reported third-quarter profit of $573.1 million.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had net income of 72 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, came to 75 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 67 cents per share.
The oil and gas and petroleum products company posted revenue of $7.45 billion in the period.
Imperial Oil shares have increased slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen roughly 2 percent in the last 12 months.
