Ingenico Group and FreedomPay Team Up as Exclusive Payment Solution Providers for the Big Game

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Feb 4, 2016) - Ingenico Group (Euronext:FR0000125346 - ING), the global leader in seamless payment, announced today that it has partnered with FreedomPay, the leader in secure payment technology for stadiums, hospitality, restaurant, gaming, lodging and retail merchants, to be the exclusive payment solution providers at the pro football championship game, taking place February 7, 2016 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The two companies have deployed nearly 550 Ingenico Group smart terminals running the FreedomPay Commerce Platform with PCI-validated point-to-point-encryption (P2PE) throughout the stadium in preparation for the big game, which is expected to draw 75,000 fans.

Ingenico Group and FreedomPay's joint payment solutions will enhance the payment experience in Levi's Stadium by:

  • Providing consumers with the ability to checkout using new NFC/contactless payment options, including mobile payment options such as Apple Pay and Android Pay.

  • Offering unparalleled security and customer card data protection with PCI-validated P2PE.

  • Enabling attendees to checkout using the most advanced, consumer-facing smart terminals with large displays that will showcase sponsor advertisements.

  • Creating a seamless payment acceptance experience across various environments and use cases throughout the stadium, including retail and concessions.
