NEW YORK (AP) -- Perfume maker Inter Parfums Inc. said Friday that it agreed to acquire some assets of the fragrance division of fashion house Oscar de la Renta.
Terms were not disclosed. The companies also agreed to make and distribute makeup and perfume under the Oscar de la Renta brand.
Oscar de la Renta perfume has been made in house since 2009. The deal is expected to be completed on Dec. 2. After that, Inter Parfums will take over production and distribution of existing fragrance collections and Oscar de la Renta will no longer directly operate a perfume and beauty division.
Inter Parfums' stock fell 17 cents to $31.81 in afternoon trading.
