SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Intermolecular Inc. (IMI) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $5.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 11 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense, came to 10 cents per share.
The materials research company semiconductor and clean-energy industries posted revenue of $4.6 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $1.18. A year ago, they were trading at $1.22.
