International Game Technology increases quarterly dividend to 9 cents per share

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Casino gaming company International Game Technology said Tuesday that it is increasing its dividend by 12.5 percent.

The company's new dividend of 9 cents per share is payable on July 5 to shareholders of record on June 20. That's up from its most recent dividend of 8 cents per share.

International Game said it is the company's 41st consecutive quarter that the company has paid a dividend, which it said is the longest, current streak in the gaming industry.

The Las Vegas company says the dividend increase is a clear sign that its strategy is driving strong financial performance and that it is committed to returning capital to shareholders.

Shares of International Game Technology increased 12 cents to $17.58 in midday trading.
