A 78-year-old woman has gone viral after her granddaughter shared via Reddit a photograph of her enviable skin.
Alongside an image of her grandmother’s glowing complexion, the user known as @ucancallmekt wrote: “My 78-year-old grandmother is a poster child for Retin-A! She’s been using it since it was first released on the market. My friend just started Retin-A and is complaining about the side effects, so I snapped this photo at Mother’s Day brunch to prove to her it works!”
She added, “My grandma started Retin-A for adult acne right when it was first released on the market. She was one of her dermatologist’s first patients to try it.”
And just like that, the internet was blown away.
One user wrote, “Holy mother of cucumber! She sure is aging gracefully! I hope this would be me too when I am older.”
Another commented: “She’s glowing. I spent years in the medical field so I treated a lot of elderly PTs (and I’d always know their exact age, unlike in a social situation) — you almost never see a 78-year-old looking like that. Amazing.”
Evidence shows that Retin-A is proven to improve skin texture, which means pores will be less likely to become clogged. Retin-A also helps boost collagen, which enhances the firmness and elasticity of skin.
One wrote, “My grandma also swears by Oil of Olay! She just turned 93 and most people say she looks 70.”
While another added, “I have used Oil of Olay since I was a teenager and I’m 48 now. My friends are convinced I drink the blood of babies, but really I stay out of the sun and use Olay.”
So there you have it. We’ll be stocking up the next time we hit the drugstore and, fingers crossed, we’ll look just as glowing.
