BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Investar Holding Corp. (ISTR) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $4 million.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based bank said it had earnings of 41 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 42 cents per share.
The holding company for Investar Bank posted revenue of $20 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $15.6 million, which also missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $15.7 million.
Investar shares have decreased 0.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $23.97, a decline of roughly 2 percent in the last 12 months.
