BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Investar Holding Corp. (ISTR) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $4.7 million.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based bank said it had earnings of 46 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 48 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 48 cents per share.
The holding company for Investar Bank posted revenue of $24.5 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $18 million, missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $18.2 million.
Investar shares have decreased 3.5% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $23.92, a rise of 1% in the last 12 months.
