Israel's Partner Communications Q3 profit, revenue rise

JERUSALEM, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Israeli telecoms group Partner Communications said on Wednesday that its profit more than doubled in the third quarter, boosted by gains in its cellular and fixed-line services.

Partner, Israel's second-largest mobile operator, said it earned 51 million shekels ($15 million) in the July-September period, compared with 24 million shekels a year earlier.

Revenue rose 6% to 891 million shekels, helped by subscriber growth in its cellular and fibre optics segments, as well as increased demand for its cellular roaming services.

Its mobile subscriber base increased 1% to 3.04 million for a market share of 27%. The number of fibre-optics subscribers rose to 268,000, while it had 403,000 internet customers and 222,000 subscribers to its TV service. ($1 = 3.4566 shekels) (Reporting by Ari Rabinovitch Editing by Steven Scheer)
