J.J. Watt destroys U.S. Open course at Erin Hills, and not in a good way

J.J. Watt, the offspring of a Ford truck commercial and a case of Gatorade Exxxtreme Ice, visited Erin Hills on Monday, the day after the U.S. Open, to play a little golf. And the results were … suboptimal.

Watt and some pals hit the course, still laid out with championship pin positions, just hours after Brooks Koepka captured the U.S. Open in dominating style. Watt, a Wisconsin native and 21-handicapper, naturally found his way to the course, and he treated it like an opposing quarterback once there.

Watt finished with a 117, including a 10 on the final hole, which is … hey, that’s not great. But you know what? He doesn’t get paid for this kind of stuff. (For reference, Watt passed Koepka’s 18-hole Sunday total of 67 strokes somewhere around the 11th green.)

Offseason’s almost done, friends. Hang in there.
