J. Lo, Queen of Bling, Carries a $2,900 Bag to the Gym
If you’re effortlessly glamorous and never need to change after your workout, boy, have we got the bag for you. And it’s all thanks to Jennifer Lopez!
Lopez will always be the unabashedly flashy girl from the Bronx whose rags to riches story is the stuff of legend. On stage, we expect Zuhair Murad body suits while nothing but super naked high-slit Versace gowns are appropriate for the red carpet. At the gym? She’ll take two extravagantly expensive handbags to match that cardio flow, please.
For a workout with her man Alex Rodriguez in Miami on Thursday, Lopez hit up the gym in a black tank with fitness leggings and white sneakers. Nothing alarming there, and her blacked-out sunglasses and large hoop earrings were also expected. But then there was the bag. Rather than carry, say, a $90 Lululemon duffle that holds a clean change of clothes plus a S’well bottle, Lopez did what any self-respecting woman that’s once sung, “Quiero dinero!” (read: “I want money!”), would: she wore Valentino.
Jenny from the block carried Valentino’s $2,875 Candystud quilted leather bag in red, which she slapped with a personal touch—that enormous “JLO” monogram. If this baby ever goes missing, you’d know exactly who to give it back to. Not that she couldn’t easily get herself another.

Just one day before, Lopez once again headed to the gym clinging onto another luxury investment piece (not A-Rod, though he’s cute) that could pay for someone’s freshmen-year tuition. The bag? A blinding neon yellow Hermès Kelly that’s worth $18,500.
Let’s hope she’s got insurance for that one.
